Bringing a warm, practical and personal approach to meditation.
I am the founder of Meditation for Wellness and a qualified and accredited meditation teacher and member of Meditation Australia.
I began teaching meditation because I wanted to share a simple, practical approach to helping people create greater balance and wellbeing in their everyday lives.
Life can move so quickly that we often find ourselves rushing from one thing to the next, carrying stress and rarely taking the time to simply stop and appreciate where we are and what we already have.
Meditation gives us the opportunity to pause, breathe and step out of that constant rush. With regular practice, we can learn to recognise when we are feeling overwhelmed, settle the body and mind, and create a greater sense of calm and balance.
For me, meditation is not about escaping from everyday life, and it certainly does not have to be complicated, overly spiritual or “woo woo”. It is a simple, practical tool that can help us slow down, take a moment to be more present and make space to appreciate the moments that matter.
My Professional Background
Before beginning my meditation teaching journey, I spent many years working in business and sales.
I worked as a Sales Manager in our family skincare business, where I managed relationships with major pharmacy groups and health foods stores across Australia and led a national sales team. I was also involved in the administration/customer service and accounts side of the business.
This experience gave me a strong understanding of people, communication, organisation and the demands of working life, experience that I now bring into my workplace and other meditation sessions.
Life can be busy, and it is easy to spend so much time looking after work, family and other responsibilities that we forget to pause and look after ourselves.
Meditation provides a simple opportunity to slow down, become more present and create a little space in our day.
I love seeing people finish a session feeling calmer, more relaxed and refreshed, sometimes simply because they have given themselves permission to stop for a moment.
